Trains to and from Toulouse Blagnac Airport (TLS)

There is no actual train station on the grounds of Toulouse Airport, but there are buses that connect the airport to the main railway station.

The central train station in Toulouse is the Matabiau Railway Station. The airport is only 8km northwest of Toulouse, therefore it is a short 20-minute bus trip.

The Navette Aeroport Toulouse Buses leave the airport every 20 minutes from outside the Arrivals area, in front of door C. The buses run every day, including Sundays and public holidays. The first bus departs for the train station at 7h35am and the last bus leaves at 0h15am. Bus tickets are purchased at the airport’s bus ticket office, which is located outside the terminal near to the bus stop.

Passengers that arrive at Matabiau Railway Station, can use the same buses to reach Toulouse Airport. The first bus departs for the airport at 5h00am and the last at 8h20pm. There is a bus available every 20 minutes between these hours. Bus tickets can be purchased from the bus driver or from the bus station’s ticket office.

Traveling by train in Europe is extremely popular as it is fast, economical and convenient. The SNCF provides the railway network and railway services in France.

Younger passengers, between the ages of 4 and 14, can travel by train on their own, under the supervision of a specially trained female staff member. Your child will be taken care of from the departure station to the destination station, and given over only to the predetermined person waiting to collect the child. The YPS pass includes this service and a seat reservation. The Young Passenger Service is available during the French school holidays.

When traveling by train, ensure that you only take luggage that can be carried easily, and that you pack as lightly as possible. It is difficult and frustrating when large luggage is obstructing the isles on the train. At most major train stations there are luggage trolleys available, or you can hire the services of a porter. In the trains there are luggage racks that can be used for storage above your seat. In most of the TGV (high-speed) trains there are additional luggage racks at both ends of the coaches or in the center of the coach, and luggage space behind or below your seat.

Specific facilities are available on the trains and at the stations to ensure the comfort of a disabled passenger. Lifts and ramps are provided for easy boarding of the train, and each train has a space reserved for people in wheelchairs. Extra wheelchairs are available at certain stations, and smaller wheelchairs can be used to move about the train. The porter service is free for disabled passengers.

A railway pass can help you save money if you are planning on frequent train journeys. Passes include the France Railpass, the France Saverpass, the France Seniorpass and the France Youthpass. Other types of passes are available if you would like to visit France and another country as well.
