Avis Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is also commonly referred to as the Roissy Airport, and is the largest airport serving the country of France, and in particular, Paris. It is also one of the largest and busiest airports of the world, with over 58 million passengers per annum. The airport is located just 25 km, or 16 miles from the city of Paris, and provides an important gateway for tourists and business professionals. The Avis Charles de Gaulle Airport rental offices can be found in Terminal 1, as well as in Terminals 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D and 2F, and Avis is a very well known and popular car rental company at many European airports.

With its great number of passengers per annum, Charles de Gaulle Airport consists of many terminal buildings, and some with satellite extensions as well. Since that Avis does not have rental counters in Terminal 3 of the airport, passengers arriving here on low-cost or charter airline companies will need to transfer to one of the larger terminals in order to collect their vehicle. Although the terminals are some distance apart, they are all easily accessible, by the CDGVAL automatic light rail system. There are also a few shuttle buses which offer transfer between certain terminal areas. At Charles de Gaulle Airport, Avis is open from 06:00 to midnight, at all locations, and can be found nearby the arrival areas. It is also recommended to reserve your vehicle from Avis, at this airport, in advance, as car hire can be in high demand. Vehicles are most easily secured online, from various Avis car rental websites.

The Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport car hire companies all offer their own range of unique services, and from Avis, passengers can enjoy the benefits of the Avis Preferred Membership. While some car hire companies only offer special privileges to more frequent renters, all customers may apply for this service by Avis, provided that they are at least 23 years of age, and have a valid drivers license and payment card. At most Avis rental locations, Avis Preferred members will receive pre-prepared paperwork, priority service at the Avis Preferred counters and will have their vehicles parked in the most convenient areas, while at certain locations, members will be able to collect their vehicles from a dedicated cabin in the car park, and will have no need to stop at the rental counters, as the keys will be in the vehicle.

Additional services from Avis include the rental of equipment such as child seats and satellite navigation systems, hand controls for disabled drivers and one way hires, convenient for those not returning to Charles de Gaulle Airport. Hand controls are offered for individuals with a lower limb disability, and should be reserved in advance. The device is also offered free of charge, while other equipment will cost a few extra Euros per day of rental. From Charles de Gaulle Airport, one way hires are available from the majority of car hire companies, and allow the customer to return their rented car to a different location, perhaps in the city, or even at Paris Orly Airport found to the south of Paris. Vehicles can also be returned to further locations, but those delivered to a different country will have additional charges.

The Charles de Gaulle Airport car rental companies offer a large range of vehicles for hire, and Avis is no exception. The smaller cars available include the Renault Twingo, Opel Corsa and Citroen C3, for four or five passengers, and are hired from the Subcompact and Economy categories. These cars have the lowest rental rates, and are fuel efficient, therefore perfect for any customer with a budget to follow. Many customers also enjoy cars from the Compact category, as they are also excellent value for money, and include the BMW Series 1 and Peugeot 308. Larger sedan models and cars ideal for families are similar to the Mercedes Class C, Renault Scenic and Citroen Grand Picasso C4, while vans from Avis include the Renault Espace and Opel Zafira for seven passengers, and the Renault Trafic Combi for nine.

Anyone 21 years of age or older can rent a car from Avis, provided that they are also able to show a valid drivers license at the time of vehicle collection. However, a renter must be 25 years of age or older to hire from the following categories at Avis: E (Full Size), F (Standard), G (Convertible), M, N and O (Vans). A young drivers fee will also be applicable to renters under the age of 25, and this is an extra amount added to each day of car hire, up until a maximum of ten rental days. Younger additional drivers will also be liable for young driver fees. A major credit card will be required in order to validate your rental from Avis, and at this rental location, the following cards are accepted: Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard/Eurocard and Visa (apart from Kyriel, Maestro, Indigo and Electron). Debit cards are not used for car rental payments.

Passengers arriving at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport can obtain all further information from Avis, at any of their rental offices within the airport.
