Buses to and from Lyon Saint Exupery Airport (LYS)

Lyon Airport is well connected to many destinations by the Satobus. Some of destinations are offered as a regular service, while others require a request or reservation. The Satobus is an economical and convenient way to travel to Lyon’s city center, which is approximately 25km away from the airport.

Traveling by bus from Lyon Airport to Lyon city center

Buses leave for Lyon approximately every 20 minutes from the airport. The bus stops are located outside the airport terminals, and the buses are labeled as ‘Gares/Aéroport’ (Train stations/Airport). The Satobuses make various stops along the way, including at Mermoz-Pinel Metro (opposite Galeries Lafayetta), Grange-Blanche Metro, Part-Dieu Metro and Train station, Lyon Perrache Gare (bus and metro station) and Jean-Macé Metro.

Bus tickets can be purchased at the Satobus counter inside of Terminal 2, or from the bus driver. Passengers can buy a one-way ticket (aller simple) or a round trip ticket (aller-retour). Tickets for passengers between the ages of 12 and 24 are cheaper.

There is no need to worry about your luggage, as there is plenty of space under the bus for luggage storage.
