Budget Paris Orly Airport

Paris Orly Airport is the second largest airport in France, in terms of passenger traffic, and the busiest airport for domestic arrivals and departures. The airport is located to the south of central Paris, and straddles two departments and seven communes, which include Wissous, Choisy-le-Roi, Orly, Villeneuve-le-Roi, Athis-Mons, Morangis and Chilly-Mazarin. The Orly Airport is easily accessed by road, and a couple of prominent highways lead to various areas in Paris and other regions in France. It is therefore most convenient to rent a car from one of the Paris Orly Airport car hire companies, such as Budget. Budget is well known around the world for offering ‘budget’ car rental rates, and have a large fleet of vehicles from which to choose as well.

Budget, at this rental location, is found in the Paris-Orly Ouest Terminal, which is the West Terminal of the airport. The airport also has a South Terminal, the Orly Sud, and passengers arriving at this building can easily transfer to the West Terminal, and the Budget rental counters, by using the free Orlyval automated light rail system. This train is available throughout the day and night, and offers a quick journey between the airport terminals. It also takes passengers to and from the Gare d’Antony railway station nearby. Although the train is the quickest way to get from one terminal to another at Orly Airport, passengers can also walk the distance, using the dedicated footpath available. It will be approximately a five minute walk between the terminals.

Budget Paris Orly Airport is open from 06:00 to midnight, seven days a week, although their hours of operation may vary on certain bank holidays, such as Assumption Day, All Saints Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. Paris Orly Airport is a Budget Fastbreak location, which means that customers who have registered for this service can receive preferential counter service and various other money and time saving benefits when renting a vehicle. The Fastbreak program is especially designed to help more frequent renters and corporate clients with faster reservations, rentals and returns. A frequent renter, as defined by Budget, is someone who has rented three or more times. Customers who wish to apply for the Fastbreak service may need to provide proof of these three rentals, and will need a valid drivers license and payment card.

The Paris Orly Airport car rental companies offer a wide range of vehicles for their customers, and Budget is no exception. The vehicles found in Budget’s Mini, Economy and Compact categories come with the lowest rental rates, and are fuel efficient. They are even considered as eco-friendly. The Ford Ka Titanium is an example vehicle in the Mini category, while the Ford Fiesta Trend, Renault Clio and Opel Astra 1.7 are hired from the other two categories. Although smaller vehicles, they generally seat between four and five passengers, and have room for a few items of luggage. However, families may require a slightly larger vehicle, from one of the other categories offered by Budget.

The larger vehicles are found in Budget’s Standard, Intermediate, Fullsize and Standard Passenger Van categories, while cars with more room for luggage can be hired from the Intermediate Wagon/Estate car group. Larger sedan models from Budget include the Citroen C5, the Volvo S60, the Renault Megane and the Mercedes C Class, while an estate for hire is the Renault Grand Scenic. Vans are ideal for a larger number of passengers, and Budget’s most spacious van is similar to the Renault Traffic, with room for up to nine travellers. All Budget vehicles are cleaned and checked for safety before every rental, and are also frequently renewed, to ensure that customers only receive a car in the best mechanical condition, and with the lowest mileage possible. However, when renting a car, always ensure that all existing damages on the vehicle have been correctly and accurately noted before leaving the airport. Upon your return, the vehicle will be checked again.

From Budget, Paris Orly Airport, one way hires are the best option for customers who do not wish to drive back to the airport, and are, in general, no more costly than an ordinary rental. However, one way hires which are returned to a location in another country may incur additional costs. Disabled drivers also have options from Budget, as hand controls can be used on certain types of vehicles. From Paris Orly Airport, hand controls are free of charge, but should be reserved in advance, at least 48 hours prior to your arrival. A disabled person who is unable to drive may also be the primary renter of a vehicle from Budget, by using a designated driver who has a valid drivers license. There are no charges for this additional driver, and the credit card of the disabled person will be used for payment of the rental.

At Paris Orly Airport, the primary renter at Budget is required to be at least 21 years of age, and to have a valid drivers license and payment card. However, all drivers under the age of 25 are considered as ‘young drivers’ and will pay a higher rental rate than usual. Younger drivers are also not permitted to hire from certain vehicle categories. The young drivers fee is applicable per day of car hire and per underage driver registered on the rental agreement, up until a maximum of ten rental days.
