Auto Europa Car Rental at Grenoble Airport

Grenoble Airport has the official code of GNB, and is otherwise known as the Grenoble-Saint-Geoirs Airport, or as the Grenoble-Isère Airport, due to its location in the Isère department of France. This airport, although one of the smaller French airports, is an important gateway to the towns and cities nearby, such as Grenoble, and to the French Alps ski resorts. In a rented car is one of the best ways to travel from Grenoble Airport, and an easy form of transport to all the attractions of the area. Auto Europa Grenoble Airport provides their customers with quality vehicles and competitive rental rates. The car hire company of Auto Europa is also one of the largest in the world, and is trusted by thousands of customers.

Grenoble Airport consists of a single terminal building that has the capacity for a million passengers per annum, and has all the facilities which can be expected at an airport of medium size. There are meeting rooms and a VIP lounge for business passengers, and shops and restaurants for the needs of all passengers. In the two arrival areas, passengers will be able to collect their baggage and easily make their way out of the airport building to their chosen form of transport, and to the Grenoble Airport car hire companies. Auto Europa, along with other car rental companies, such as Hertz, Avis, National and Europcar, is found across from the terminal in a separate building. They are open during most hours of the day and early evening, in order to serve customers on all arrival flights at the airport. Customers can hire a car directly from the rental counters of Auto Europa, or in advance, over the internet. Advanced reservations are often cheaper.

Vehicles hired from Grenoble Airport come in all shapes and sizes, and are ideal for all types of driving. Some are smaller and use less fuel, and are therefore ideal for driving in the city, while others have more room for luggage, and are often chosen by families. Automatic vehicles are offered to those who cannot, or do not want to drive a manual car, and vans are available for groups of travellers, as they seat up to nine passengers. All vehicles from Auto Europa are divided into various car groups, and are priced and booked accordingly. If not exactly the same, customers will receive a car similar in size and characteristics to the example for each car group. Auto Europa’s car categories at Grenoble Airport include Mini, Economy, Compact, Midsize, Standard, Fullsize, Luxury, Premium and SUV.

For the majority of the smaller cars in the groups of Mini, Economy and Compact, the primary renter will need to be at least 21 years of age, and to have held a valid drivers license in his/her country for a year prior to the rental date. However, drivers younger than 25 will need to pay higher rental rates, for younger drivers insurance. This is a standard procedure at all major car hire companies. The primary renter will also require a major credit card for payment of the rental, for all car groups, and sometimes even two major credit cards for certain vehicle groups. Cars found in the first three categories are similar to the Peugeot 107, Peugeot 207 Hatchback, Opel Astra, Citroen Nemo, Fiat Punto, Renault Twingo, Peugeot 308 Wagon and Ford Focus. They seat four or five passengers, and have room for an item or two of luggage. Slightly larger vehicles are found in the Midsize category, such as the Peugeot 407 and Peugeot 3008 Crossover.

Grenoble Airport car rental companies will offer quotes which include various aspects of the rental. Auto Europa offers basic and all-inclusive rental rates, and customers can therefore select the option which suits them best. The all-inclusive rate will cover VAT, public liability insurance, fire insurance, optional collision damage waiver insurance and theft protection, while the basic rate only covers fire and public liability insurance, and VAT. All vehicles come with unlimited mileage, apart from a few convertibles and luxury vehicles. Customers should keep in mind that even with the all-inclusive rate charged, there may still be additional charges applicable, such as those for additional drivers registered on the rental contract, for equipment hired such as child seats and the surcharge applicable to rentals which commence at airport locations.

Within the Midsize, Fullsize and Standard vehicle categories customers will find all types of larger vehicles, including those with more room for luggage, and those with more room for passengers. For up to five passengers, the VW Touran, Citroen Grand C4 Picasso, Renault Laguna, Mercedes C Class Wagon and the Citroen C5 Wagon are available, while the Citroen C8 seats up to seven people. Some of the largest vans from Auto Europa are similar to the Renault Traffic and Citroen Jumper, which have room for nine travellers. Larger cars such as these, or luxury cars like the Mercedes E Class, will have higher rental rates, and may not be permitted for hire by persons under the age of 25.

From Grenoble Airport, hand controls are often available from the car rental companies, and Auto Europa one way hires are an option for customers who do not wish to return their vehicle to this rental location. Auto Europa hand controls are free of charge, and can be used by persons with a lower limb disability. They should be reserved in advance, in order to ensure their availability. From Grenoble Airport, one way hires may be driven to any other Auto Europa rental location in France, or even to a location in a different country. However, it is best to confirm your return location with Auto Europa before your arrival at the airport, and to find out if there are any additional charges applicable.
