Pau Airport is found in the commune of Uzein, which is just outside of the city of Pau, and is an airport which serves the towns in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department of France. The airport’s official name is the Pau-Pyrénées Airport, due to its location, and it has been allocated the official IATA code of PUF. Over 600,000 passengers pass through the airport every year, and it is a modern, friendly and efficient establishment with all the facilities required by arriving and departing passengers. Car hire companies such as Hertz Pau are available for all in need of transport, and they offer competitive rental rates for airline passengers. Hertz is one of the most experienced providers of car rental services, and one of the most respected in the world.
The terminal building is large enough to handle a million passengers per annum, and currently, between 2,500 and 3,000 passengers enter the building every day. At this rental location, Hertz is open to meet the arrival flights, that mainly operate between the hours of 05:00 and 22:45.
Hertz is perhaps the only car hire company with a large range of vehicles that are possible to reserve by specific make and model. The majority of the Pau Airport car rental companies only offer vehicle categories, in which have several cars that may be received by the customer. Hertz has three collections of vehicles which can be specifically booked, and they are the Fun Collection, the Prestige Collection and the Green Collection. The Hertz Fun Collection is a range of vehicles which are as their name suggests – ‘fun’, and includes the Smart For Two, Fiat 500 Lounge, Mini Cooper, Peugeot 308 CC, Alfa Romeo Giulietta and the BMW 1-Series Cabriolet. The Green vehicles are fuel efficient and eco-friendly, and are the Ford Fiesta 1.4, VW Golf TDI and Peugeot 308 HDI Auto, while the Prestige Collection contains cars that are more elegant, such as the Mercedes E Convertible, Mercedes SLK and the Volvo XC90. The Renault Grand Espace and Mercedes Viano are also available from this collection, and they are larger vans ideal for groups of travellers.
