Alamo Car Rental Nice Cote D'azur Airport
Alamo Nice Airport
Nice Airport is located approximately 7km, or 4 miles from city centre of Nice, and is in the Alpes-Maritimes department of France. It is also known as the Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, and is the third largest in the country, with around ten million passengers per annum. NCE is the airport’s official code. Alamo Nice Airport is one of the car hire companies available for arriving passengers who prefer to drive their own private vehicle for transport, and can be found within the arrival areas of the airport. Alamo is also a popular choice of car Rental Company by the majority of leisure travellers, and has offices around the world.
At Nice Airport, there are two terminal buildings, referred to as Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Both terminals are well equipped with various facilities for their passengers, and have offices for car hire companies in their arrival areas. Alamo is found in Terminals 1 and 2, and are open seven days a week, between the hours of 07:00 and 23:30. In Terminal 1, Alamo is located at gates A1/A2, just to the right of the information desk, and in Terminal 2, they are found between gates A2 and A3. The rented cars of the various companies are parked on the airport site as well, nearby Terminal 2, and behind the car park P5. The terminals and car parking areas are linked by shuttle buses that run on a frequent basis at all hours of the day and night.
Unless an Alamo one way hire is arranged, customers will collect and return their vehicle to the same parking area at Nice Airport. One way hires, however, are more convenient for those who are leaving France from a different airport, as the service allows the vehicle to be delivered to an alternative Alamo car rental location. Alamo is available at all the major airports in France, and at many downtown locations as well. Cars can generally also be driven to all nearby countries, but a one way hire delivered to another country may incur additional charges. Always confirm your final destination with Alamo, prior to collection of the vehicle. Since that Nice Airport is such a busy location, it is recommended to hire your vehicle in advance, in order to ensure its availability.
The Nice Airport car hire companies offer a wide range of vehicles for hire, and Alamo is no exception. Alamo’s vehicles are booked and priced by category, which means that customers will not be able to reserve a specific car model, however, if one is specifically requested, Alamo will do their best to provide the vehicle desired. The car groups of Alamo include Economy, Compact Wagon, Midsize, Standard, Fullsize Wagon and Van, and customers will find all types of vehicles within these categories. The cheapest rental rates are generally offered for smaller sized vehicles, in the Economy category, and an example of these cars is the Peugeot 207 1.4. Although a smaller car, it can seat up to five passengers, and comes with power steering, power locks and windows and air conditioning.
Midsize vehicles from Alamo include the Ford Mondeo 1.6 and Peugeot 3008 1.6, while cars with more room for luggage are similar to the Citroen C5 2.0 and Mercedes C200 CDI 2.0, which are estate cars able to store five large items. They are also ideal for up to five passengers, and feature power steering and power brakes and driver and passenger airbags. The Mercedes also has a leather interior, and a GPS unit is included in its rental. Other vehicles that include a satellite navigation system are the Audi A4 1.9, the Mercedes E250 2.5 (Luxury vehicle), the Citroen Grand Picasso C4 2.0 for seven passengers and the Citroen C8 2.0, also ideal for up to seven passengers. The Citroen features split folding rear seats, which could be useful for carrying awkward luggage items. One of Alamo’s larger vehicles is the Citroen Jumpy, for eight passengers, and SUVs are also available, similar to the Ford Kuga 2.0.
The Nice Airport car rental companies generally offer services to meet the needs of all their customers, and therefore, Alamo hand controls are available for disabled drivers. Hand controls are used by someone with a lower limb deficiency, as they operate the brake and accelerator pedals of the vehicle. The device could also include a steering wheel knob. From Nice Airport, hand controls are free of charge, but should be reserved at least 48 hours prior to your arrival, as they are only available on certain types of automatic vehicles, and will also need to be fitted to the vehicle.
The primary renter hiring a vehicle from Alamo, Nice Airport, will need to be at least 21 years of age, and to have held a valid drivers licence in his/her country of residence for at least a year prior to the rental date. All drivers’ licenses are accepted by Alamo, provided that they are written in English. Those printed in a non-Roman alphabet may need to be accompanied by an International Driving Permit.
