Hertz Nice Airport

The Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is located approximately 7km, or 4 miles from the city centre of Nice, France, and is recognised by its official code of NCE. The airport is the third largest in the country, in terms of passenger traffic, as it handles around ten million passengers per annum. Only the Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly Airports are busier than Nice Airport. Arriving passengers can travel by bus or taxi from the airport, and several car hire companies offer their services as well. The company of Hertz Nice Airport is an excellent choice for all car rental requirements, as Hertz has over ninety years of experience in the industry.

The car rental counters are found on the arrival levels of Nice Airport, in both of the two terminal buildings, which are referred to as Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 has car rental offices at gates A1 and A2, just to the right of the information desk, and Terminal 2’s car rental offices are found between gates A2 and A3. Hertz is available from both terminals, and their vehicles are parked at the ‘Car Rental Centre’, found behind the parking area P5, and at Terminal 2. Should you be arriving at Terminal 1, the rented car area can be accessed by using the free shuttle bus which links the two terminal buildings and the car parking areas. From Terminal 2, a footpath is available to the car parking area. The rented cars of Hertz are collected and returned to the same area.

However, Hertz one way hires may be returned to a different rental location, and this option is most convenient for customers who will not be leaving France from Nice Airport. Hertz has rental offices in the majority of France Airports, therefore vehicles can be returned to any airport location. There are also many downtown Hertz rental offices, in many of the French towns and cities. At Nice Airport, one way hires are usually free of charge, provided that the vehicle is returned within the country of France. This service is also referred to as the Hertz Rent-It-Here and Leave-It-There service. At Nice Airport, Hertz is open from 06:30 to midnight, seven days a week.

The Nice Airport car rental companies offer a wide range of additional services besides just rented cars, and from Hertz, customers can arrange the Hertz NeverLost In-Car Navigation System, child seats, ski equipped vehicles and hand controls for disabled drivers. There is also Gold Counter services for those who are members of the Hertz #1 Club Gold. The additional items of equipment for vehicles, such as child seats and satellite navigation systems will cost a few extra Euro per day of hire, but Hertz hand controls are free of charge. This device is ideal for the use of drivers with a lower limb disability, as it operates the brake and accelerator pedals of the vehicle. From Nice Airport, hand controls should always be reserved in advance, as they are only available on certain types of automatic vehicles, and will need to be fitted prior to your arrival.

All Hertz customers can become members of the Hertz #1 Club, and enjoy a range of time and money saving benefits. The membership is free of charge, and available to occasional and frequent renters, however, those who have rented three or more times in a twelve month period will be invited to join the Hertz #1 Club Gold, and will have even greater benefits and discounts when hiring a vehicle. In general, members enjoy faster reservations, rentals and returns with the Hertz Express Service and the Hertz Instant Return Service, and will be first to receive all details regarding any money-saving deals offered by the company. At thousands of locations around the world, including at Nice Airport, Hertz #1 Club Gold members can use the Gold Counters for priority service. At over forty of the world’s major airports, members will also be able to go directly their cars, with no need to stop at the rental counters.

The Nice Airport car hire companies have vehicles of all shapes and sizes, and perhaps one of the reasons why Hertz is such a popular choice of car rental company is that they offer a range of vehicles which can be more specifically hired by their makes and models. These cars are found in the Hertz Fun, Prestige and Green Collections, and are ideal for customers who like to know exactly which car they will be driving. Green Collection vehicles are fuel efficient and environmentally friendly, and include the Ford Fiesta 1.4, VW Golf TDI and the Peugeot 308 HDI, which is an automatic vehicle. Fun Collection vehicles are just as their name suggests, a variety of fun and interesting car models, ranging from smaller Smart For Twos and Fiat 500’s, to convertibles such as the Renault Megane CC, Peugeot 308 CC and the BMW 1-Series Cabriolet. BMW, Mercedes and Volvo vehicle models can be more specifically reserved from the Prestige Collection, as well as larger cars, such as the Renault Grand Espace, with room for seven passengers, and the Mercedes Viano, ideal for nine travellers.

Special cars also include the Ford Focus with hand controls for disabled drivers and the Opel Zafira, with winter tyres.
